Eric Coufal, arrived to Guadalajara, from Austria, ending the '40 to organize the school of Architecture. To project the Teatro Experimental, seems that he have done an attentive observation of Luis Barragan´s work in DF. In these terms, the theatre might be the first experience destined to transport the barraganian invention, centred on domestic architecture, to programs of public and extensive use.

Eric Coufal, llegó a Guadalajara, desde Austria, a fines de los ´40 para organizar la Escuela de Arquitectura. Al proyectar el Teatro Experimental, parece haber hecho una lectura atenta de la obra que Barragán estaba realizando en el DF. En estos términos, el teatro podría ser la primera experiencia destinada a transportar la invención barraganiana, centrada en la arquitectura doméstica, a programas de uso público y extensivo.
