This is one of the mythical houses of New York. Lescaze was born in Switzerland, and graduated architect by the Zurich Technical School in 1919, and in 1920 he moved to United States where was very successful. The Italian historian Leonardo Benevolo consider the WL house, the first example of modern architecture in NYC. The house is very nice and is there, in 211 E. 48th Street, fearless in the time, as the scene of a Humphery Bogart's movie.

Es una de las míticas casas de Nueva York. Lescaze nació en Suiza, y se graduó de arquitecto en la Escuela Politécnica de Zurich en 1919, y en  1920 se radicó en Estados Unidos con mucho éxito. El historiador italiano Leonardo Benevolo considera a la WL house, como el primer ejemplo de arquitectura moderna en NYC. La casa es muy linda y está allí, en 211 E. de 48th Street, impertérrita ante el paso del tiempo, como salida de una película de Humphery Bogart.
